Austin Rattler Run

Run your way through Texas hill country on single track, fire roads and even granite formations at the Austin Rattler Run. Complete our 10-mile loop once, twice for a fun challenge, or a third time for the chance to qualify for the Leadville Trail 100 Run. Celebrate your finish in true Austin style with live music, food trucks and beer at the lakeside post-race party.


Our 10-mile features a mix of terrain that challenges runners while offering scenic views of the Texas Hill Country. 60% single track / 40% jeep roads. The course will be clearly marked with PINK SIGNS w/BLACK ARROWS and PINK FLAGGING
  • 50K Runners will do 3 loops
  • 20M Runners will do 2 loops
  • 10M Runners will do 1 loop
  • There will be one aid station at the start/finish area and no on-course aid stations.
  • This means every 10 miles for the run. Plan to carry all the water and nutrition you need for each lap. 
  • Start/finish support includes water, Gnarly nutrition, Coke, and Kate's Real Bars.
  • Crew will be allowed to set up and assist their riders/runners at the lake near the start/finish. 
  • No crew assistance within the barricaded start/finish area where drop bags are located
  • No crewing is allowed on course, no exceptions.
DROP BAGS There will be a dedicated neutral bag drop area at the start/finish aid station. You can place supplies at this location and access them as you pass through to start your next lap. All supplies must be in a bag. Please bring your own bag and keep it tidy. RACE BIBS Race bibs must be visible at all times and attached to the front of your body. Please do not cut or fold your bib, as the affixed timing chip could become damaged and not record your race times or photos. 50K Runners only Hang on to the small tab with your number on it. This is your ticket to enter the LT100 Run drawing, which will take place at the awards ceremony (see the Schedule of Events for more information).

    • 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Packet pickup @Pavilion
      • Photo ID is required.
    • 6:00 a.m. - Food - Texas Heat will be serving food onsite all day, with coffee and breakfast tacos available in the morning and a brisket BBQ menu for the afternoon
    • 7:30 a.m. 50K START
    • 8:30 a.m. 20M | 10M START
    • 10:00 a.m. Finish Festival Begins
      • Join us for live music from a local band, beer, great food and even better company.
    • 12:00 p.m. 10M Awards Ceremony
    • 1:30 p.m. 20M Awards Ceremony
    • 1:30 p.m. Final Lap Cutoff
      • All runners attempting the third lap must be through the start/finish.
    • 3:30 p.m. 50K Awards & LT100 Lottery
      • We'll call up age class winners for their place on the podium.
    • 4:00 p.m. Official Finish Time
      • Runners must finish by this time to be eligible for the LT100 Run lottery.
      • Stick around for an announcement to enter your race number (a tab attached to your race bib) into the hat for your chance to win a coveted LT100 Run slot.
      • Winners must be present to claim their spot.

    PRE-RUN info 
    • Reveille Peak Ranch is open for riding and running from now until race day
    • $10 fee for anyone pre-riding/running - payable at the gate check-in


    Friday packet pickup: 
    • Racers with guests coming for Packet Pick-up (not pre-running) can proceed to the Pavilion without parking fee 
    • Campers will pay ranch fees (see below on camping fees) 
    Saturday only: 
    • Racers will not be required to pay a fee
    • Guests riding in the same car pay no fees but guests must have a completed waiver online or print off and fill out a waiver ahead of time.
    • Guests in separate cars:
      • Adults/Kids 12+ $10/day.
      • Kids 6-11 $5/day.
      • Print and have a waiver ready. 


      1. Waiver – complete online or print off and sign in advance LINK TO WAIVER
      2. Non-racers who come to the ranch, must have completed the waiver online or printed off and signed a waiver. 
      3. Be respectful to your fellow participants, unsportsmanlike conduct is grounds for disqualification 
      4. Leave no trace – No garbage, clothing shall be thrown on the course or left around the ranch. 
      5. DNF’s must be reported to timing
      6. Pets – well behaved pets are allowed but must be leashed at all times and comfortable around people and other animals 
      7. NO CREWING ON COURSE or within the barricaded start/finish area where drop bags are located. 


    PARTICIPANT SWAG All registered participants will receive:
    • T-shirt (gender-specific)
    • Finisher medal
    • Beer or Seltzer - each rider will receive 2 tickets for complimentary beverages
    • Parking is free on Friday & Saturday

    REFUND POLICY Effective Jan 10, 2023 to Oct 31, 2023 - You will receive 70% refund (less processing and additional fees)

    Stages Cycling Leadville Trail 100 MTB & Leadville Trail 100 Run qualifying slots will be distributed after the Awards Ceremony at 4 PM. Coin allotment is based on total participation in each event.  Austin Rattler Coin Allotment: LT100 RUN Coins: 30 LT100 MTB Coins: 30  Only the 50k run and 60-mile bike categories are eligible to qualify based on performance. All participants are eligible for the coin lottery, however.  50% of slots will be distributed based on performance in the qualifying event. 
    • Slots will be distributed to each gender and age group based on the percentage of total athletes in those age groups, with a minimum of 1 slot for every age group. 
    • The top athletes in each age group will receive the allocated slots. 
    • In the event a top athlete elects not to accept a slot, the slot will roll down to the next athlete in the results, within the age group. 
    • In the event slots are not claimed after the roll down in each age group, those slots will be allocated to the Event Lottery, as described below. 50% of slots will be distributed through the Event Lottery. 
    • All finishers under the predetermined maximum finish time, who have indicated their desire to participate in the lottery, will be entered in the lottery. 
    • Names will be drawn from the eligible lottery athletes and slots will be given out. 
    • In the event an athlete opts not to accept a slot, the slots will roll down to the next athlete that is drawn, until ALL slots have been distributed.
    • Qualification slots must be claimed in person immediately.
    • Registration for the Leadville Trail 100 must be completed and paid for immediately on site.
    • All registration fees for the LT100 are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Rider starting positions are organized in color-coded corrals. These positions will be based on a finish time from the 2019 (year prior only) LT100 MTB race, a 2019 or 2020 qualifier event finish time, or if you hold a current UCI Pro Elite license. Please enter finish times or license numbers when prompted during the registration process. However, if you race a qualifier after previously gaining entry, you MUST email us at to inform us of your finish time so you will be placed accordingly. You will not be placed automatically.         • Awards will be given out to the top 3 Males / top 3 Females in each age class 29& under / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70+ / Para / Non-binary
