At nearly 2,000 feet in length, Oceanside Pier is the longest wooden pier along the entire West Coast. This unassuming structure sits one mile south of Oceanside Harbor (aka: the swim start) and dominates as the epicenter of all downtown Oceanside activity.
Annually, more than 1,000,000 visitors come to the pier to score fish and chips, rent beach cruisers, grab surfboards or even fish (rent a pole on-site, no license required)!
At the foot of the pier sits “the Strand,” the beach-level, pedestrian-friendly corridor where triathletes can be spotted training year-round. Coincidentally, the pier makes for a glorious finish line at our championship race.
